2009-11-10_MillerDear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Please pray for KIU Professor Paul Miller who was just rushed to the hospital a few moments ago. He collapsed just prior to class. It is unclear what has happened but the paramedics were concerned that it might be a stroke.

Also, please pray for his wife, Vanessa, and children, Andrew, Emily, and Lydia for God's all-surpassing peace and comfort during this time.

I plan to update this post as more information becomes available.

2009/11/10 14:55 Update
We just got a call from the hospital. Both Paul's heart and brain seem OK. They are now check for other reasons for his collapse. Thank you for your continued prayers for Paul and his family.

2009/11/11 17:32 Update

It seems that Mr. Miller's condition is stable after staying overnight at the hospital. Today, the doctors were running a battery of tests to find the root of the problem. Thank you for your continued prayers for Paul Miller and his family.

2009/11/17 10:39 Update from Vanessa Miller, Paul's Wife

"Thank you  for praying for Paul.  The results of a blood test, CT scan and EEG  showed that he had no stroke or heart attack the other day at school.  It  was good that he was rushed to the hospital because he is suffering from the  symptoms of stress-related exhaustion.  The doctor has advised Paul to  reduce his stress level and add more hours of sleep to avoid possible  life-threatening consequences."

2009/11/25

Paul returned to work this week. He looks tired and still must take it easy. Thank you for your continued prayers for Paul and his family.
